How often does a rental property need a gas safety check?
At least once every two years. If a check has not been done in the last two years when a new renter moves in, one must be arranged as soon as practicable.
Who is allowed to do the check?
Only a licensed or registered gasfitter with the right endorsement can carry out a rental gas safety check in Victoria. All of our gas checks are done by licensed trades.
What happens if an appliance fails the check?
We tell you straight away, explain the issue in plain English, and give you a price to repair or replace it. Because we are licensed trades, most repairs can be handled without a second call-out.
